Well, vacation provided me with a lot of insight and helped clear my focus for the immediate future. Now that I have a plan, I am focused on it. I've already submitted my first book to the publisher and am still awaiting word on whether they wish to publish it. However, I've been working on the other 2 books in the series as well so when the green light comes, I'm ready with the rest for the set. No sense in dawdling, right?
Gotta admit, it's freeing to know where I'm heading with more clarity than I had before vacation. I had been in a holding pattern up until now, but with the guidance God gave me while on the other side of the country, I am moving forward in grand fashion.
Still hanging in here at the bookstore, but I haven't felt called to change that yet. Came home to find out that our Senior Sales left while I was away, and my manager isn't going to be filling that position immediately. So, I'm still waiting. Summer's in this back room are hot and somewhat stuffy, but with my fan and the back door open, I can play my music and get lost in the work. It's nice when I get left alone to do my job, but that doesn't happen as often as I'd like. Still, it's bearable. I pray some changes come down the pike soon.
