It's been 2-1/2 months since I was relieved of my duties with ACFW and the web site, but thankfully I'm still involved with the bookstore. I don't know what I'd do with myself if I couldn't serve this organization in some capacity. Thankfully, Jeanne holds no grudge or ill feelings about my mistakes, and she's in agreement with me that the board really did shaft me with their decision. It's all good though. I've had some time away and a chance to take a step back to look at the situation in a new light. I know God had His reasons. With everything happening at work, I can only wonder what that is. I know it's one more piece in the grand puzzle, and I'm confident it will all work out.
At least I can still be involved in ACFW and still lend my support where it's needed. Even if I'll never be involved with the web site again, I can stick to my Area Director work with the local writing groups and serve the bookstore at the conference where my top abilities lie. It's relieving to be able to do this without dealing with all the political and corporate junk that comes with the web team and the "high-ups". Guess we'll see what happens.
The other bright spot is I still have all of my friends with ACFW, and most of them know next to nothing. They don't need to know either.
