Dream Is Getting Ever Closer!

I'm one step closer to realizing my dream of becoming a published author. It's so exciting. To bring you up to speed, I've been writing since I could hold a pencil and reading since age 3. Wrote my first book between the ages of 16-19 but spent the next 10 years studying the craft and improving my skills.

Last year, I sent a proposal to an editor for an historical series. He replied a few weeks later asking for the full manuscript. Had it for a few months and just tonight emailed me saying it was just what they were looking for, but it needed a few nips and tucks. He'll have the full review with his comments and remarks to me within the week, and that's when I'll get to work.

Not an official contract yet, but it's a definite foot in the door and possibly a leg or half my body. *winks* I'm psyched at the moment and rejoicing. It won't be easy getting to sleep but praise God for this forward step in my career. Wish we were together already so we could celebrate. I know you'd be happy for me and just as excited. That time will come soon enough. For now, I'll share with you here.
