Identity in God alone?

Been struggling recently with loneliness and lacking the friend support I've enjoyed in the past. It's affecting my motivation, my energy and my overall drive to really get things done. But, then I realized (well, more like was hit upside the head with a 2x4....again) that sometimes God takes away your entire support system and everything on which you normally depend to give you your zip. Especially if you're a people-person like I am.

He does this so you will get back to the awareness that you need Him and *only* Him for your identity. You need to find your value and worth in Him alone. Not in other people. Not in your success. Not even in what you do on a day-to-day basis.

You might also have come to this point in your life, but considering what I believe is your personality, you no doubt withdrew yourself because of that tug from the Holy Spirit. I know that if you don't find that identity as a man in God, you'll never be able to take the next step in a relationship with me. So, I'll be praying for you, wherever you are, that you find it soon...if you aren't already there.
